The tunnel portion of this project is over 1/2 mile long and consists of 20,000 cubic yards of concrete in the track slab; 20,000 cubic yards of concrete in the walls using the “Shotcrete” method of installation and over 12,500 cubic yards of concrete in the cast-in-place roof deck. The duration of the concrete work was 11 months and was finished on schedule and on budget.
